In short
Fish For Singles is a real dating site run by High Intent Media Inc, a Delaware corporation. Joining and browsing are free; reading and replying to messages needs a membership that renews until cancelled. Photos are reviewed, but profile details aren't checked, and profiles are shared with partner sites in the same network.

The short version
Fish For Singles is a genuine dating site with a named company, published terms and clear rules on payment and cancelling. What it doesn't do is check everything members say about themselves, so it's legit as a service, and you still need the usual care with individual people.

Who runs it
Fish For Singles, the website and its members area, is run by High Intent Media Inc, a Delaware corporation (file no. 10670515), registered office 16192 Coastal Highway, Lewes, DE 19958, USA. The domain was re-registered in May 2020 and the site relaunched in 2021; it was rebuilt with new guides in October 2026. More on who we are.
You can check a Delaware company yourself: the Delaware Division of Corporations runs an online entity search where you can look up a company by name or file number. A registered office address in Delaware is common for US companies and is where official papers are served, not necessarily where staff work.
What it costs
Joining, building a profile and browsing are free. To read and reply to messages you need a paid membership.
| Join, create a profile, browse | Free |
|---|---|
| Read and reply to messages | Paid membership |
| 1 week | $12.99 |
| 1 month | $24.99 a month |
| 3-day trial | $2.99, then $24.99 a month |
| Optional extras | Profile boosts, priority messages, a 24-hour pass, an ID-verified badge |
US prices as shown in the members area on 16 October 2026; the members area shows the exact price before you pay. Memberships renew automatically until you cancel in Settings > Billing. Check the price and billing details at checkout before you pay.
Two things to know before you pay:
- Memberships renew automatically until you cancel in Settings > Billing. A trial moves on to a monthly membership.
- Refunds are limited. Under the members area terms, they're pro-rata and only when at least 40% of the membership period is unused.
Full details are on prices and billing, cancelling and refunds.
What you'll see on your statement
The charge appears under the billing name shown at checkout, not always as "Fish For Singles". That's because the members area is shared with partner sites, so the name may be a network name. Make a note of it when you pay so a later charge doesn't come as a surprise.
Who you'll meet
Fish For Singles shares one member database with partner dating sites in the same network. Members who joined through those sites can see your profile and message you, and each profile shows which site its owner joined through. So not everyone you meet will have joined because of fishing. How it works explains this in more detail.
What is and isn't checked
Photos are reviewed; almost everything else a member tells you is their own word. Here is the detail.
| Item | Item |
|---|---|
| Photos | Reviewed |
| Age | Members must be 18 or over (21 in four US states); the date of birth they give isn't independently checked |
| Profile text | Not checked |
| Identity | Not checked by default. An optional paid ID-verified badge uses photo ID and a selfie checked by LEM Verify; verification may be required for VPN sign-ups or flagged accounts |
We'd rather be clear about this than overpromise. It means you should treat profiles as a starting point, use video calls before meeting, and never send money.
What about fake profiles and scammers?
No dating site can promise every member is genuine, and any that does is overselling. Romance fraud, where someone builds a fake relationship online to get money, happens across all kinds of dating sites and social media.
The warning signs are usually in the behaviour, not the profile:
- they want to leave the site for another app straight away;
- they declare strong feelings very quickly;
- they can never video call or meet;
- money comes up, often as an emergency, a fee or an investment.
If you spot this, report the profile to the members help centre. If you've lost money, call your bank, then report it to Report Fraud in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, Police Scotland on 101, or the Federal Trade Commission in the US. Our guide to spotting a romance scam explains the common scripts, and the safety page has every reporting line.
Reviews
We don't publish reviews or testimonials on this website, and we don't invent them. If you're looking for other people's experiences, independent review sites are the place to look, bearing in mind that a handful of reviews tells you very little either way.
How Fish For Singles measures up
Any dating site worth trusting should pass a few basic checks before you pay. Here is how Fish For Singles answers each one.
| Check | Fish For Singles |
|---|---|
| Names the company behind it and where it's registered | Yes: High Intent Media Inc, Delaware, on key facts and about |
| Says clearly what's free and what costs money | Yes: free to join and browse; messaging is paid |
| Explains renewals and how to cancel | Yes: renews until cancelled in Settings > Billing |
| Is honest about what it checks | Yes: photos reviewed, profile details not checked |
| Tells you how to delete your account | Yes: step-by-step guide |
| Publishes member numbers or success stories | No: we don't, and we don't invent them |
Who it suits, and who it doesn't
Fish For Singles suits people who fish or love the outdoors and want that to be part of dating from the first message. It also suits anyone happy to look at a wider pool through the partner network.
It's less suited to someone who wants every member identity-checked before they appear, or who only wants to meet people who joined specifically for fishing. If you'd rather keep the hobby separate from your love life, our guide to whether sharing a hobby matters is worth a read first.
What happens to your data
Your profile, messages and payment details are held in the members area, and the members area privacy policy explains what is collected, why, and how long it's kept. This information website is separate: it sets no cookies and runs no advertising or tracking scripts.
You can ask for a copy of your data or for it to be deleted through the members help centre. In the UK, if you're unhappy with how a request is handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Our guide to deleting your account covers the steps.
If something goes wrong
Start with the members help centre for anything about your account, payments or another member. Include the email address you signed up with and, for payments, the date, amount and billing name.
If a payment problem isn't resolved, contact your bank or card provider. In the UK, Citizens Advice explains your consumer rights; in the US, the Federal Trade Commission takes reports about businesses and scams. If something on this website is wrong, tell us through the members help centre.
Questions people ask
Who owns Fish For Singles?
Fish For Singles is run by High Intent Media Inc, a Delaware corporation (file no. 10670515) with its registered office at 16192 Coastal Highway, Lewes, DE 19958, USA. The same company runs the members area, where profiles, messages and payments are handled, and its terms govern your membership.
Is Fish For Singles a scam?
No. It's a working dating site with a named company behind it, published terms, and clear rules on what's free, what's paid and how to cancel. Like any dating site, individual members can still be dishonest, which is why it's worth knowing what is and isn't checked and how romance scams work.
Are all the profiles on Fish For Singles real?
We can't promise that, and nor can any site that's honest. Photos are reviewed, but what members write about themselves isn't checked, and identity checks are optional. Treat a profile as a starting point, video call before you meet, and never send money to someone you haven't met.
Why don't I see Fish For Singles on my bank statement?
The charge appears under the billing name shown at checkout, which may be a network name rather than Fish For Singles, because the members area is shared with partner sites. Note the name when you pay. If you see a charge you don't recognise, contact the members help centre before you contact your bank.
Why are people from other dating sites messaging me?
Fish For Singles shares one member database with partner sites in the same network, so members who joined elsewhere can see your profile and message you. Each profile shows which site its owner joined through. It means a bigger pool of people, though not all of them will fish.
