In short
Fish For Singles is a UK-first dating site for anglers and outdoor people, run by High Intent Media Inc, a Delaware corporation. Joining and browsing are free; reading and replying to messages is paid. Profiles are shared with partner dating sites in the same network, so you may meet people who joined elsewhere.

Who the site is for
Fish For Singles is a dating site for people who'd happily spend a date on the bank. That means coarse anglers, sea anglers and fly anglers, and also everyone who loves the outdoors and would like to meet someone who does too.
You don't have to fish. Lots of people join because they like the idea of a partner who'd rather be by the water than in a bar, and some would quite like to learn. If that's you, the angling section has a guide written for you.
The site is written for the UK first, so the guides talk about rod licences, day tickets, tide tables and British weather.
Who can join
Members must be 18 or over (21 in Alabama, Mississippi, Nebraska and Wyoming). Sign-ups are accepted from:
- the UK, Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man
- the US and Canada
- Australia and New Zealand
- South Africa and Portugal
Most profiles need at least one photo before they go live.
Who runs it
The site and its members area are run by High Intent Media Inc, a Delaware corporation (file no. 10670515), registered office 16192 Coastal Highway, Lewes, DE 19958, USA. Membership is governed by the members area terms.
The domain was re-registered in May 2020 and the site relaunched in 2021. It was rebuilt in October 2026 with new, rewritten guides.
What's free and what's paid
Joining, creating a profile and browsing are free. Reading and replying to messages needs a paid membership, which renews automatically until you cancel in Settings > Billing. The prices page shows the current options, and how it works walks through each step.
The partner network
Fish For Singles shares one member database with partner dating sites in the same network. Members who joined through those sites can see your profile and message you, and you can see and message them. Each profile shows which site its owner joined through.
Your card or bank statement shows the billing name displayed at checkout, which may be a network name rather than ours. Note it when you pay; account help explains billing, cancelling and refunds.
What we check, honestly
Every photo is reviewed. Other details are not checked by default, and we'd rather say that plainly than claim more than we do.
| Checked | Not checked |
|---|---|
| Every photo, before it goes live | What members write about themselves: age, job, location |
| Identity, for members who choose the optional ID-verified badge (photo ID plus a selfie) | Identity, for members without the badge |
| Identity, if an account signs up through a VPN or is flagged | Whether a member is single, or fishes as much as they say |
Treat a profile as a starting point, not proof. Our safety page explains how to meet safely and spot the warning signs of a scam.
How we write our guides
Our editorial policy is short:
- People first. Every guide answers a real question an angler, or their date, might have.
- Facts from the source. Rod licence rules come from GOV.UK, Natural Resources Wales and nidirect; fraud reporting from the police and official services. Each guide lists its sources.
- No invented people. No made-up success stories, quotes, reviews or member numbers. Example profiles and messages are labelled as examples.
- No paid mentions. Clubs, places and organisations appear because they're useful, not because anyone paid.
- Dated. Each page shows when it was last updated.

Corrections and contact
If you spot something wrong or out of date, tell us through the members help centre and include the page address. Account, billing and log-in questions go there too; see contact for the quickest routes.
Questions people ask
Do I have to fish to join?
No. The guides are written with anglers in mind, but anyone who loves the outdoors, or fancies learning, is welcome. Plenty of members simply like the idea of a partner who'd rather be by the water on a Saturday than in a shopping centre.
Who writes the guides?
They're written in-house by the site's editorial team. We don't credit guides to named experts, nobody pays to be mentioned, and outside facts such as licence rules are taken from official sources listed on each page.
Are the people I meet all Fish For Singles members?
Not always. Fish For Singles shares one member database with partner sites in the same network, so some people you see joined through another site. Each profile shows which site its owner joined through.
Is Fish For Singles a UK company?
The site is written for the UK first, but it is run by High Intent Media Inc, a corporation registered in Delaware, USA. The members area terms are governed by Delaware law.
How do I report a mistake on this website?
Contact the members help centre with the page address and what's wrong. We check it against the original source and correct the page, and the date at the top changes when we do.
